Best for Business believe that whilst the provision of Government support and funds for disadvantaged groups is of major importance and does help in part to increase regional productivity, provided you meet the locally driven criteria.

We feel that it is of equal importance to provide open free access, to targeted local based services and information to help support, build and inspire these disadvantaged groups in gaining the confidence required for them to succeed in their ventures and thus spread the confidence from a local basis, to a regional basis and thus a national basis.

Best for Business helps to deliver on these issues nationally by working with local communities and organisations to provide very targeted sub programmes to local community groups and organisations to tackle current issues.

The objective is to build a local business networking platform that delivers real programmes providing real benefits to deliver cross community cohesion and support run and operated by the community themselves but supported by Best for Business programmes.

To this end we are currently working with over 20 different groups within disadvantaged and excluded sectors and have managed to bring all of the leaders together to provide a network of small targeted programmes tailored to the needs of all the involved communities and organisations, which feed in to a national programme, bridging the gap between regions and communities.

This approach enables these groups to target their communities, associations or groups directly and sign post them to their own targeted programmes provided by best for business.

As the communities are running their own programmes this helps to alleviate the apprehension and fear of certain disadvantaged and excluded communities from using such a service, providing the confidence and support to obtain information and empowering them take action.
